QuickBooks Desktop Mobile App| Troubleshoot Guide

Various methods to troubleshoot QuickBooks Desktop mobile App

Step 1: Switch the data connection on your device.

  • If connected to Wifi, turn it off and use cellular data in your device.
  • If connected to cellular data, connect to WiFi in your device.

Step 2: Close the QuickBooks Desktop mobile application and restart.

Closing apps on Android means closing the app. If your phone is low in memory, or to blank the screen, not responding normally, you can close the Android app.

Step 3: Clear QuickBooks mobile application data.

There are two places to clear application data and extract cached data:

In the QuickBooks Online App:

Android: From more options, select Settings, then select Data, and then choose Yes.

iOS: From the menu iOS, select Help and Feedback, select Data, and then select Refresh.

Settings in your device:

Android: From your device’s settings, select Apps (varies by device), choose the QuickBooks application from the list, and then choose Storage.  Finally, select explicit data.

iOS: From your device’s settings, select General iPhone Storage Settings and choose an app that is taking up a lot of space. To free up storage without deleting documents and data for the application, select the offload app.

Step 4: Power down and start again or restart your device.

Restart option: This option executes a soft reboot, meaning that the phone or device closes all open applications and then restarts itself.

Power off option: This option turns the device off completely, thus requiring the user to hold down the power button for a few moments and turn it back on.

Step 5: Uninstall and reinstall the QuickBooks Desktop mobile application.

  • Find and tap or click the app you want to uninstall. 
  • Click “Uninstall”.  
  • Press “OK” or “Uninstall” when you see the confirmation pop up. 
  • To reinstall, return or come back to your device’s home screen and select the “Google Play Store” app.
